About me
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at California State University, Fresno. My research and teaching interests include L2 speech acquisition (perception, spoken word recognition and production); acoustic phonetics in various languages and teaching English as a second language (TESL). My most recent research and teaching focus is the use of drama based instruction for both teaching ESL students and training current or future teachers. My recent drama-based TESOL practicum course was well received by students and I am now beginning to offer workshops to anyone interested in this new method.
