Using Padlet as a Digital Tool for Oral Presentations in Noncredit ESL
Saturday November 16, 2024 9:30am - 9:45am PST
This presentation explores the pedagogical implications of using Padlet in ESL classrooms to enhance students' oral communication skills and participation in online discourse. The Padlet was designed for a noncredit ESL course at a community college. Students were taught to present on a travel-themed experience. This activity promotes active participation, enabling students to engage in meaningful online interactions while receiving scaffolded support. By integrating Padlet, instructors can create a dynamic learning environment that significantly improves students' language proficiency and digital communication skills. During this presentation, participants will be part of a demonstration of using a similar Padlet.
