About me
Glen was born in the Philippines where he learned English as his second language. Having been raised and educated in a nonnative-English-speaking country like the Philippines, Glen understands how challenging it is for his international students to learn the English language. Glen has been in the English language teaching profession for 27 years and was a recipient of 2003 TESOL Professional Development Scholarship, 2012 Betty Azar Travel Grants for Practicing ESL/EFL Teachers, 2019 TESOL Ambassador Award, 2020 TESOL Leadership Mentoring Program Scholarship, 2021 My First TESOL, 2023 California Teachers Association Good Teaching Conference Grant for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Members, and 2023 Gail E. Weinstein Teacher Recognition Award Recipient. Glen is also a teacher trainer and educator, and he served as 2020-2021 CATESOL (California TESOL) Bay Area Chapter Coordinator.
