About me
I have many years of experience in ESL/EFL education, having taught in my native country of Brazil, China, and the USA. I have taught remedial writing at CSULA as a grad student, ESL at the ELP at CSULB, non-credit ESL at NOCE for 2 years, credit ESL at Cypress College for 4 years, credit ESL (Academic Writing) for over ten years at Irvine Valley College, and I am a tenure-track full-time non-credit ESL faculty at Santa Ana College, CEC. Additionally, I have worked as a full-time Tutors in the Classroom Coordinator for a year and later as the Supplemental Instruction Coordinator at Mt. San Antonio College for nearly 5 years. There, I also served on the Executive Board of CSEA, Chapter 262, for three years, holding roles such as Chapter Secretary, Second Vice President, and Assistant Lead Negotiator. I hold a B.A. in English and a Master’s in TESOL from CSULA. In my free time, I enjoy running with friends, traveling with my family, and attending church with my children.
