Advancing language research and education at CSULA and CATESOL
As an associate professor of TESOL at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA), I have over eight years of experience in researching and publishing in the field of applied linguistics, and over 25 years of experience in language teaching. I am passionate about exploring the intersection of brain, language, interaction, culture, and language education, using psychophysiological methods and innovative approaches.
I am also the vice president of communications and the editor of The CATESOL Update at CATESOL, the largest professional organization for teachers of English as a second or foreign language in California. In this role, I contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices, resources, and advocacy for language educators and learners. I have also earned multiple certifications from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) for my excellence in teaching and learning.
